As the person responsible for taking down a brutal human trafficker, Alice Appleton fears retaliation at every turn. No one knows about her past, which is exactly how she prefers it...until the sexy cop next door comes knocking.
Detective Reese Bareden thinks he knows what makes women tick, but his ever-elusive neighbor keeps him guessing like no other. Is his goal to unmask Alice's secrets? Or protect her from a dangerous new threat? One thing is certain: their chemistry is a time bomb waiting to explode. And with no one to trust but each other, Reese and Alice are soon drawn into a deadly maze of corruption, intrigue and desire-and into the line of fire...

Viviana's Review:
The very first scene had me busting out laughing. It wasn't a joke or someone dancing and getting caught by the cute guy. He was sleeping and dreaming about her and there was a dog. That's all I'm saying.
Reese, I knew I'd love from the first time he was introduced in "Run the Risk". I knew he was going to be that Alpha Male that not only was strong, hot and sexy, but wanted to take care of you and ensure you were happy. He wasn't about to tell you flat out his feelings, but he showed you.
Alice, was an interesting character. I liked her but I couldn't figure her out. One minute she's secure and tough and the next minute she was meek and doubted everything. Also, she is so good with reading people and situations, yet when it comes to Reese she is unable to, even though he is quiet clear where he stands with everything. Sort of made me want to smack her behind the head and tell her to wake the hell up and stop doubting everything that is crystal clear in front of you. Thankfully, while this side of her drove me crazy, she was overall likable and the rest of the characters and story made it worth it. Her conversations with Rowdy were funny!! They had me cracking up as well!
Lori Foster seriously knows how to bring the heat level and keep it on high!! YUM!
Lori had posted some info regarding what's coming up next in this series and that's how I found out that "Bare It All" is tied into the MEN WHO WALK THE EDGE OF HONOR series. The character Trace is from the "Trace of Fever" book two in the series. Guess what I've added to my TBR MOUNTAIN? Yup, the MEN WHO WALK THE EDGE OF HONOR. What? I'm a sucker for Alpha Males and I've gotten A LOT of recommendations for that series on FB!
The pace of "Bare It All" was significantly better than "Run the Risk" and again we got a glimpse of what's to come. Woohoo! Rowdy's book is next and Dash's story has been set up a bit as well!
Over all, it was a great read and I couldn't put it down. Will give it the four stars because of Reese and Rowdy! Just wish Alice had been a bit more solid when it came to her personality.
Narrator Review: Again Jim Frangione did a great job in narrating "Bare It All". Looking forward to hearing him in "Getting Rowdy".
