Feature & Follow #40



"Feature and Follow Friday" is a weekly meme hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read where they each feature a fellow blogger, and ask a question, to be answered by anyone who wants to participate. We then hop around to other blogs, checking out their answers. It is a great way to get to know other bloggers. See additional info below


This week's question is:

Recommend some of your favorite back-list books – books that are at least a few years old (I’m thinking 5-10 years old rather than classics).
The Mists of Avalon (Avalon #1)
by Marion Zimmer Bradley
While I haven't read the entire series, I have read the first 4 books and I enjoyed them! The first is my favorite. 

The Sun Witch (Sisters of the Sun #1)
by Linda Winstead Jones
LOVE this series!! 

Sierra's Homecoming (McKettricks #5)
by Linda Lael Miller
I'm catching up on this series and I'm loving it!! 

The Time Traveler's Wife
by Audrey Niffenegger
A very interesting read and wonderfully written!!

Beyond the Highland Mist (Highlander #1)
by Karen Marie Moning
LOVE THIS SERIES!!! Great mix of historical romance and PNR!

    I loved The Mists of Avalon. It's one of those books where I'm really glad that my mom was super lax about what I read (mostly because I'd devour all the books in the house so she'd only be left with perhaps not age appropriate books) as I'm pretty sure I got my hands on this in middle school! I recently read the Ancestors of Avalon which was....meh. Then I realized it was by a completely different author (which explains a bit) and that there were four more books written by MZB which I clearly need to get to asap!

    I haven't heard of any of the books except The Time Traveler's Wife & I actually have the movie instead. That I haven't even watched but I have it, so it counts. New G+ follower.

    Only one I have heard of is Beyond the Highland Mist and think I have it on my kindle.

    Great List, I did read Time Traveller's Wife but at times struggled to find my place in it (i.e. where/when are they). But what a brilliant idea for a book! I'm a new follower :)
