About Our Guest

Lance West has been performing on stage, on camera, and on a microphone for over 25 years. He studied acting at NYU Tisch (at Lee Strasberg), the Boston Actors Workshop, and Skidmore College. Audiobook narration gives him an avenue to do what he loves from his home on a remote island in the Pacific Northwest.

Lance grew up on an animal/nature-assisted therapy farm with a single mom and two dads. Growing up with parents who accepted and embraced love in all of its forms shaped his perspective on what a loving relationship can be. Lance has watched the world expand its understanding of how diverse love can be and loves to participate in the celebration of all kinds of love (and lust!). He especially enjoys narrating LGBTQIA+ stories, and the normalization of diversity is important to him.

These days, when not narrating audiobooks, Lance can usually be found in the kitchen baking (sourdough breads and cookies mostly), at a piano making noise, in the woods walking, singing, acting at the local performing arts center, dancing with his wife in the local burlesque troupe, waxing philosophic with his fish Neil, or contemplating the wild wonder of this crazy world.
